Super Easy Homemade Trail Mix Bars with Nature's Garden

It is super easy to make homemade trail mix bars with Nature’s Garden Heart Healthy Trail Mix and Nature’s Garden Pitted Dates, your favorite nut butter, coconut oil (or vegetable oil), and a little bit of honey (maple syrup or agave will work too if you are vegan!).
These trail mix bars are packed with nutrients and contain much less sugar than store bought snack bars. Nature’s Garden Heart Healthy Trail mix includes a blend of walnuts, black raisins, dried cranberries, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and dark chocolate chunks.
The combination of walnuts, almonds and pumpkin seeds provides ALA Omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, iron, vitamin E and fiber. Dark chocolate is an excellent source of cocoa flavanols, magnesium, and iron. Nature’s Garden Pitted Dates act as the binder and sweetener for these trail mix bars, while adding even more iron to this already iron rich recipe. Also each bar contains about seven grams of plant based protein, plus more protein depending on what type of nut butter you decide to use!
This trail mix bar recipe is a great way to use most of your bag of Nature’s Garden Heart Healthy Trail mix, leaving a little bit left over to snack on. Once your Nature’s Garden Heart Healthy Trail Mix, and Nature’s Garden Pitted Dates arrive in the mail, you can make this recipe right away because you probably have the other three ingredients in your pantry!
