What is your gut microbiome and why is gut health important?
Your gut microbiome refers to the ecosystem in your gastrointestinal (GI) tract that is populated by trillions of microorganisms and is as unique as you are! This microbiome works for you - engaging in many essential functions for your digestive, immune, nervous and endocrine system. Keeping the balance of “good” and “bad” bacteria with diet and lifestyle changes ensures all these systems work in cohesion.

What are probiotics?
Probiotics are live microorganisms, primarily bacteria, that can provide health benefits when taken appropriately. They are often referred to as “good” or “friendly” bacteria that can support a healthy, balanced gut microbiome.
What probiotic strain is in your product?
We’re all about science at Nature’s Garden. Therefore, we use one of the industry’s most well researched and trusted probiotic strains, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG. Supported by over 40 years of independent research, this strain is known for its safety and health benefits through human clinical trials.
More than promoting gut health, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG has shown potential in supporting cognitive function. Current research is underway to understand the extent of Lactobacillus’ positive influence on mental health via the gut-brain axis.
What is prebiotic fiber?
Prebiotics are essentially food for probiotics! They are non-digestible plant fibers that serve as nourishment for the beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in your gut. Prebiotic fiber fuels probiotics to thrive and multiply, allowing them to continue working in your gut. Together, prebiotics and probiotics are the dynamic duo that can support a healthy gut microbiome.
What is microencapsulation?
Probiotics are fragile and can be killed during the extreme conditions of manufacturing, storage, and bodily digestion. Nature's Garden uses probiotics that have undergone a process called microencapsulation. This process is designed to protect the probiotics from the time they're manufactured through digestion until they reach your gut. Once there, the intestine's digestive enzymes break down the probiotics’ protective coating, allowing them to get to work where they are most effective, to help you receive the full benefits!
