Intermittent fasting and keto are two of the most popular diets out there right now. They both offer a lot of potential benefits, but they also come with some risks. In this blog post, we will discuss the benefits and risks of intermittent fasting and keto so that you can decide if either of these diets is right for you!
Intermittent fasting is a dieting strategy that involves periods of fasting followed by periods of eating. There are many different intermittent fasting schedules, but the most popular one is the 16/eight plan, which involves fasting for 16 hours and eating for eight hours. Intermittent fasting has been shown to have several potential benefits, including weight loss, improved insulin sensitivity, and reduced inflammation.
However, intermittent fasting also comes with some risks. If you have any medical conditions or take medication, you should speak to your doctor before starting intermittent fasting. Additionally, intermittent fasting can be difficult to stick to long-term and may cause side effects like fatigue or hunger pangs.
Similarly, the keto diet is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that has been shown to have potential benefits like weight loss and improved blood sugar control. However, the keto diet also comes with some risks. These include the “keto flu” (which is a group of symptoms that can occur when you first start the diet), increased risk of kidney stones, and decreased exercise performance.
So, which one is right for you? If you are considering intermittent fasting or the keto diet, speak to your doctor first to make sure it is safe for you. Then, decide if you are willing to commit to the diet long-term and if you are willing to accept the risks involved. Thanks for reading!

I really didn’t have much of a choice when I started this 2 yrs ago. Now I’m thankful I am doing intermittent fasting and keto. This is healthy for me an my body. Yes I felt a slight difference that is it. I did things little at a time to get my body use to the change. Slowly I introduced myself to keto food. This is for me a life long journey and I’m happy about this.
