Organic Trail Mix Chocolate Smoothie

Have you ever thought of adding an organic trail mix to your smoothie? Smoothies can be a great way to start your day, adding vitamins and antioxidants from vegetables and fruit, and juices. Smoothies can also be filled with sugar and carbohydrates that don’t keep you feeling full throughout the morning. If you are looking for an organic vegan breakfast filled with protein, try adding trail mix to your smoothie.

You can make your own concoction of a chocolate trail mix smoothie. Here are some ingredients you might include in your organic smoothie:

  • Unsweetened chocolate almond milk
  • Frozen Bananas
  • Spinach
  • Trail mix, including nuts and dried fruit
  • Sea salt
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder

Start with 1 cup of chocolate almond milk and add 1 frozen banana and ½ cup of spinach. You can add a ½ cup of Nature’s Garden trail mix that is low in sugar and salt and has many trail mixes from which to choose. A pinch of salt and a little extra cocoa powder can finish it off!

If you don’t like chocolate, you can use plain or vanilla almond milk and take out the cocoa powder addition. Many trail mixes offer dried fruits and nuts without the addition of chocolate.

Other Options for Healthy Smoothies

There are so many ways to start your morning off right with vitamins and protein added from nuts. You can get creative by adding nuts to a lot of different smoothies once you get used to this recipe. The addition of nuts will add protein, staving off hunger throughout your day. And they also add omega-3 fatty acids that are essential to having a healthy diet.

Our organic trail mixes are thoughtfully created to make a mix that is healthy and not too high in sugar. At Nature’s Garden, we believe that snacks can be equally healthy and tasty. With our products of dried fruit and nuts, you will not be disappointed with the quality and taste. Our snacks are packaged to be convenient to grab on the way out the door or to add to your smoothies in the morning.
