Holiday Nut Mix for Party Snacks and Gifts

It's the middle of December and now is about the time to look for new healthy nut mixes. These nut mixes make great party snacks, gifts or simply a quick snack at work. This blog post will discuss three different types of nut mix recipes that are easy to make all year round! You can even play around with spices if you're looking for another kick in flavor. -The first recipe we'll be discussing is a sweet and salty mix made with cashews, almonds and peanuts. You'll need: - ½ cup raw cashews

- ½ cup raw almonds

- ¼ cup roasted unsalted peanuts

- ⅓ cup honey

- ½ teaspoon kosher salt

- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine the cashews, almonds, peanuts and honey. Stir until all of the ingredients are coated in honey. Sprinkle with salt and cayenne pepper then spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once during baking time. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

-The next recipe is a festive mix made with cranberries, pistachios and pecans! You'll need: - ⅔ cup dried cranberries

- ½ cup shelled pistachios

- ½ cup pecans

- ¼ cup sugar

- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine the cranberries, pistachios, pecans and sugar. Stir until all of the ingredients are coated in sugar. Sprinkle with salt then spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring once during baking time. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

-Last but not least is a nut mix made with almonds, Brazil nuts and walnuts! You'll need: - ½ cup raw almonds

- ½ cup raw Brazil nuts

- ½ cup raw walnuts

- ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed

- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine the almonds, Brazil nuts and walnuts. Stir until all of the ingredients are coated in sugar and cinnamon. Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once during baking time. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
